In the post tsunami scenario, Care India has distributed 27 mechanized (29’boats fitted with 10 bhp outboard motors) boats, 471 fishing nets of various sizes, along with an equal number of fiber boxes to store catch. In the next stage of relief work Care India has constructed houses for fishermen who lost their houses. We have constructed 68 houses in Nellore District of Andhra Pradesh.
