Rainfall caused floods in Nellore and many houses were washed away. We helped 350 households that lost their livelihood, belongings and who are below poverty line. The people who received interim relief included STs, SCs and elderly widows. The second stage would involve giving the deserving among these families house hold articles. The third stage of relief work would be to construct houses for the families that have lost their thatched huts in the floods and cannot afford to build again.
